Insurance
Technique Therapy accepts the following insurances: Kaiser, Aetna, Oscar, United Healthcare, Oxford, and Cigna.
If you have the above-mentioned insurance plans, our administrative partners, Headway or Path (for Kaiser Clients), will manage billing and administrative task such as; insurance verification, setting up your client portal, payments, and billing so that we have more time to focus on your mental health needs.
Technique Therapy currently is an in-network provider with most insurances. However, we work with Zaya Health, which will automatically file out-of-network claims for you and help you potentially get partial reimbursement for our services.
You can use this tool below to check your insurance and see if you are eligible for these benefits:
Payment
Technique Therapy accepts all major credit cards as forms of payment. All clients are required to maintain an appropriate payment method on file to pay co-payments, out-of-network sessions, and in the event late cancellation/no show fee incurred. Any payments for sessions are due before session began and you will receive an invoice via email at the end of each session.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session (we understand life happens) please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours or more is even better! Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
Please note that insurance does not cover late cancellation/no show fees. Therefore, you will be charged through the payment method on file.
